Course Description

Women & Wine: Discovery & Appreciation is a two-session educational course designed to explore the historical, cultural, and contemporary impact of women in the global wine industry. Through guided tastings, discussions, and industry context, participants develop foundational wine knowledge while examining leadership, equity, and representation in the wine industry.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify key women pioneers, producers, and educators in wine
  • Understand basic wine tasting techniques and terminology
  • Recognize major wine grapes and regions shaped by women leaders
  • Explore equity, representation, and access within the wine industry
  • Apply foundational food and wine pairing principles

Each class session will be 3 hours, including a lecture, guided tasting, and facilitated discussion.

This class is perfect for wine enthusiasts – whether you are a beginner or a seasoned wine aficionado.

You must be 21 years old or older to participate in this program. Students will be required to show ID as proof of age to enter the classroom.
