Course Description

Flight, Mini Drones and Flying Physics

Take to the skies with mini drones, quadcopters, airplanes, and more! This camp is the perfect introduction to the world of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this camp, safety is a priority as students learn to fly in first-person view (FPV), exploring the real-world applications of drones. Students go through Droneology, the online drone education platform, master basic piloting skills, construct an obstacle course to fly through and stage a final race to showcase their cumulative knowledge. Putting critical thinking to the test, campers will brainstorm ways drones could be used for good, sketching out their ideas for new and innovative drones and drone uses. Campers will also experiment with paper planes, flying gadgets, rockets, gyroscopes, physics toys, balloon cars, and much more. All students will take home their own mini-drone, Ages 8-13

Note: Super Science instruction 9 a.m.-12 p.m. with recess 12-12:30 p.m. or instruction 1-4 p.m. with recess 4-4:30 p.m.
