Course Description

This is the entry-level course for future Uniform Construction Code fire protection inspectors. Content includes New Jersey regulations, concentrating on fire sprinklers, fire alarm systems, and enforcement of the International Residential Code and International Building Code.

The N.J. Uniform Construction Code requires candidates for licensure to complete specified educational programs. Licensing is based on a combination of education, experience and testing.

Call the Department of Community Affairs at 609-984-7834 for information on specific licensing requirements. Students must follow established prerequisites. A portion of student tuition may be refunded (subject to availability of State funding) provided students adhere to NJ state guidelines.

Your instructor will be in touch regarding what textbooks are needed for the class. You must have the textbooks by the 1st class.
