Course Description

Prepare to work in retail pharmacy and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Topics include instruction in pharmacy laws, regulations and ethics, medical and Pharmacy terminology, insurance, common and prescription drugs and their uses, inventory management, as well as basic pharmaceutical math calculations. Non-sterile compounding principle concepts are included that train students in the creation of solutions, suspensions, emulsions and other forms of medication.
